Aug. 10th, 2010 04:23 pmFirst, welcome to
theotherayn and
homocoucho to my f-list! (Waves)
Second, this weekend, I watched the very, very last episode of Foyle's War. For those of you not familiar with this show, it's a detective, made by ITV. So far, nothing spectacular. But this detective takes place during WWII. DCS Foyle and his 'sidekicks' have to solve crimes during a time when all the world's in turmoil. It's a brilliant series, great cast, moving stories and beautiful sets. When watching it you learn a lot about wartime in Great Britain. After watching 22 episodes (each of 1,5 hours) I totally feel like I know the characters and I will miss them very much now that it's finished. I know
plumeriandeity is almost in the same position I am, so at least we can comfort each other.
Here a picture of the main cast, and an urgent advice: go watch this show if you haven't!!

Day 26 - Favourite film poster
Pride and Prejudice 2005. Because I've got a special story about that one. I saw it in a busbooth one day and had an empty wall in my room. So I emailed the company which puts posters in busbooths and they said I could come and collect a P&P poster for free! I was still a student then and had free travelling, so I went to Amsterdam and collected the poster. I loved having it on my wall! But after a few years it became a bit frayed at the edges and I just needed a change, so I wanted to throw the poster away. My housemates however thought differently about it and the next time I went to the toilet.... the poster was hanging on the toilet door, and still is today!
Day 27 - A film that you wish you had seen in theaters
I've only seen the third LOTR film in theaters and really wish I'd also seen The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers in the cinema.
Day 28 - Favourite film from your favourite director
I don't really have a favourite director....
Day 29 - A piece of trivia from a favourite film
No fewer than 15 babies were born to cast and crew, one being Nicole Kidman's daughter, during the course of the very long production of Australia.
Only 1 day left with an incredibly difficult question.

Date: 2010-08-11 06:26 am (UTC)Oh, I made sure to watch all LOTR movies in the theatre. It became a Christmas tradition for three years :D
I love the poster story! I should have done the same when I saw the TARDIS posters all over the subway this past spring LOL!
