Thanks for sharing! Makes me miss Germany terribly. I never went to Heidelberg, but I did get to see several castles, palaces, and other historical places from various ages and places the two times I was there. Just beautiful, awesome, and inspiring.
I'm with you on the Baroque (and even the more insane Roccoco movement that followed) being best taken in small doses. There's just too much going on and competing for attention for my taste!
