Delicious games

I have something to confess. Sometimes, I can get a little bit addicted to games. Most often, this is phone games like Set or Alchemy or 4 Pics, 1 Word and I want to play them all the time. To finish more levels, solve more puzzles, get a better high score! Then, there´s a few weeks each year when I´m completely into the new chapter of Delicious!

Delicious is a series of time managment games that revolve around waitress Emily. She has a passion for food and one day hopes to own her own restaurant. Through the years and through the games which are released every autumn, we saw Emily grow up (Emily's Childhood Memories), fall in love (Emily's True Love), get married (Emily's Wonder Wedding), even have a cooking show on television (Emily's Taste of Fame) and work in many, many restaurants along the way. As players you have to help Emily run the restaurants: serve the customers, clean, cook, etc. Many levels have extra challenges that you have to solve, like find lost items, receive packages or repair things.

In the lastest Delicious game: Emily's Home Sweet Home, Emily, her husband Patrick and their sweet little daughter Paige have found a new home. Unfortunately, it's a bit of a dump and needs a lot of work before the family can live there and Emily can open her own restaurant. Many friends will help Emily and Patrick, but they are also thwarted by a spiteful neighbour.

I'm so fond of these games, I've played them all. As soon as I finish one (quite fast I must say, as I often can't stop playing...), I wish the next one would come out already. Playing some levels of Delicious is always relaxing and fun, even though the levels can be quite challenging! But the best part about Delicious is the story line and the characters. It's basically like a sitcom, the stories about Emily, her family and friends and the problems they have to overcome. I never thought I'd become attached to game characters, but I've certainly become attached to Emily and crew! The design of the games is quite lovely and colourful. I really like all the unique restaurants and items to sell that you find in every game, sometimes I even get cravings for the delicious looking food in the game!

No, they´re not free. Though there's a free try-out of one hour on each game. And some of the earlier 'chapters' have free online versions, though these are not as good as the payed game.
