I proudly present...the results of an icon battle between ever_maedhros and me. After long deliberation, we choose the theme 'Royals' for this icon battle, which means we choose caps depicting kings and queens from tv series and movies. I think we managed to pick a very mixed batch of royals from different eras of history, from fantasy and even from the future!

The first 10 caps were chosen by ever_maedhros and the next ten by me. Icons 1-20 are made by ever_maedhrosand 21-40 are my work. You can see the movies/tv-series the caps come from at the bottom of the post.

I greatly enjoyed working on this caps and collaborating with ever_maedhros. My favourite of her icons is 13. I love the bold, swirling background, it's very creative and it blends perfectly with the main subject of the icon.
